On Saturday, November 8, Mahomes was in Lubbock, Texas, for “College GameDay” and the game between No. 7 BYU Cougars and No. 8 Texas Tech, and he dropped news that impacts the college football world.

Mahomes and the Chiefs are coming off a tough loss to the Buffalo Bills on Saturday, November 2, with a 28-21 final score. That loss stung as the team went into their bye week, but it also has to be put into perspective, and Mahomes and the Chiefs can’t let it ruin their week off. Instead of sulking in their loss, Mahomes appeared on “College GameDay” with a smile on his face and an announcement to make.
