The Duchess of Sussex has completed filming on a second season of her new show, set to premiere this fall
Meghan Markle’s lifestyle show is getting another season on Netflix.
PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that With Love, Meghan will have a second season, which has already been filmed, hitting the streaming service this fall.
Michael Steed is back as director for the second season, as the Duchess of Sussex’s show debuts at #6 on Netflix’s U.S. Top 10.
Meghan, 43, celebrated the news on March 7 by sharing the teaser also shared by Netflix on her personal Instagram page. The footage focuses on the sounds of chopping, stirring, sizzling and more from the kitchen.
“Oh, how I love ASMR!” the Duchess of Sussex captioned the post. ‘If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2! Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!”
The eight-episode series, which debuted on March 4, was filmed in Montecito, California, where the Duchess of Sussex lives with Prince Harry and their kids, Prince Archie, 5 and Princess Lilibet, 3. The show is significant as Meghan’s first solo hosting venture for the streamer and the fifth project from the multiyear deal she and Harry signed with Netflix in 2020 for a reported $100 million.
Meghan spends time with friends old and new in season one of With Love, where she brings her signature touch to cooking, baking, beekeeping, candle making, entertaining and more.
In an interview with PEOPLE for this week’s cover story, Meghan says: “The series is about doing what you can do, and doing it with love.”
Pals including Mindy Kaling, Abigail Spencer, Delfina Blaquier, Kelly McKee Zajfen, Tracy Robbins and Daniel Martin join Meghan on the show, where she forges new friendships with Roy Choi and Ramon Velazquez, both California chefs and restauranteurs, and Alice Waters, a pioneer of the farm-to-table movement in the U.S.
The Duchess of Sussex serves as both host and executive producer for With Love, Meghan.
Meghan previously leaned into her passions for food, travel, fashion and culture on her blog The Tig, which she ran from 2014 and 2017 while starring on Suits. She shuttered the site in April 2017 during her courtship with Prince Harry, and the couple wed a year later in May 2018.
In an interview with PEOPLE for this week’s cover story, Meghan says of her decision to shut down The Tig: “Well, I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more. So that was a choice I made at then time, and I wouldn’t change that for a second.”
As she looks ahead to the next five or even 10 years, she’s open to what’s to come. “Can you imagine? This is just the beginning. Life is full of surprises,” she tells PEOPLE. “And my gosh, in 10 years, Archie will be driving!”
With so many milestones ahead — including her new lifestyle brand As ever, which revealed its first products this week — Meghan says her goal is to stay in the moment: “I’m just trying to embrace every single day.”
